This morning at the market, something unexpected happened.
As I opened the car door,
one of the cases I had packed fell out
and everything spilled onto the ground.
The street was stone-paved.
The sound of glass breaking echoed through the quiet morning market in Cambridge.
What happened next
The glass that broke was from decorative bottles
made using empty jars.
My products fell too.
They became a little dirty —
but nothing important was broken.
In that moment, I thought:
“I’m glad nothing essential was damaged.”

A small shift in perspective
I realised how easily the same moment
could have felt very different.
I could have focused on how inconvenient it was to pick everything up.
On how embarrassed I felt with people watching.
On the sound of glass breaking.
That would have made the moment stressful and unhappy.
But by focusing on what did not break,
the feeling changed completely.

The way we choose to see things
Life is often like this.
The event itself may be the same,
but how we receive it
can change how we feel.
A small shift in perspective
can soften a moment.
Moving into candlelight

Choosing what supports you
This way of seeing things
is also reflected in the candles I make.
I have created four different candles,
each designed to gently support different moods and moments.
Not to change anything dramatically,
but to help you choose what feels right
in the moment you are in.
Four candles, four gentle companions

Radiant Bloom is for moments when you want softness and balance.
A gentle, uplifting scent to support harmony and ease.
Tranquil Mind is for quiet moments of reflection.
It helps create a calm, grounded space
when thoughts feel busy.

Serenity Stone is for rest.
A candle to light at the end of the day,
when your body and mind ask to slow down.
Prosper Glow is for energy and positivity.
With fresh, bright notes,
it brings lightness and gentle motivation into your space.

A small choice can change a moment
Just like today at the market,
the situation itself may not change.
But choosing how you respond —
or what you surround yourself with —
can softly change how the moment feels.
Lighting a candle is a small act.
But sometimes,
a small act is enough.
A quiet companion
Sometimes we need calm.
Sometimes grounding.
Sometimes warmth or clarity.
Lighting a candle is a small act,
but it can quietly change the atmosphere around us
— and inside us too.
Just like today at the market,
the moment did not change.
But the way I experienced it did.
